Darrell Gene Gates, age 55, of Gulfport, passed away on Sunday, June 17, 2012.
Mr. Gates was born in Hot Springs, AR to Herbert W. and Louise Weems Gates Ladner. He was avid fisherman.
He was preceded in death by his father and his paternal/maternal grandparents.
He is survived by his two sons, Joshua James Gates and Brandon Michael Gates, both of Gulfport; mother, Louise Weems Gates Ladner of Gulfport; siblings, Stephen Michael Gates (Jacqui) of Long Beach, Julia Diane Rogers of Gulfport, Troy Gates (Susan) of Conway, AR, Kevin Wayne Ladner (Sylvia) of Gulfport, and Jayson Brian Ladner (Debbie) of Gulfport; two grandchildren, Ryan Gage Lee and Ashtin Taylor Gates.
A private memorial service will be held.
