Mr. Ladner was a native of Dedeaux and a longtime resident of Necaise Crossing. He was a graduate of Hancock North Central High School. He was a pipefitter foreman for most of his working life in multiple shipyards across the coast, later retiring from Avondale Shipyard in New Orleans. He wlso worked as a farm hand in his younger years which likely fueled his passion for working on his own farm.
“DW” loved to cook and liked to make sure everyone was well fed. He was an avid fisherman, loved to camp, and liked working with his hands in his shop. Most important, he loved spending time with his grandchildren and trying to teach them the way of country life and all that it entails. He was a member of Crane Creek Baptist Church in Steep Hollow.
The family would like to sincerely thank all of the doctors and nurses who have helped care for “DW” especially Dr. Marath and Fresenius Dialysis Clinic in Gulfport. While he may be gone from us now, we know he is at peace. He left behind memories and love that will last until we meet again.
