Danny V. Patton, age 45, of Diamondhead, MS, passed away on Monday, June 19, 2023, in Diamondhead.
He was a native of Waveland and was a current resident of Diamondhead. He attended St. Stanislaus and Bay High and he worked in the HVAC business.
Danny had dozens of awards during the years he played soccer. He had many dozens more during the years he coached recreational, semi-pro & high school soccer, like while coaching at St. Stanislaus, the State Championship Award in Boys’ Soccer as the Class 4A Champions of Mississippi. But, the truth is, although the awards were nice, that’s not why he played or coached. He did it for the love of the game, but more importantly, for the love of inspiring and loving so many children. Within the hours and days after Danny’s passing, the memorials began to flood in from those he had coached, parents of the children he coached, his friends, and so many others about the amazing influence he was on so many. The testimonials described a man who believed in and encouraged every single player and convincing them they could do anything. This sums it all up: as one memorial put it, if I started now and worked until I die, I would never be able to touch as many lives as Danny Patton.
Danny was of the catholic faith and his hobbies included soccer, soccer and soccer!
He was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Janet Breland Aime and Sylvia Pavolini Patton; nephew and joined at the hip best friend, Dominic Patton; and numerous aunts and uncles.
He is survived by his children, Daniel “Case” Patton, Tanner Patton and Harper Patton; Parents, Rhonda Aime Gamble (Jay) and Danny L. Patton (Durenda Viator); his grandfather, E. V. “Gus” Aime (Tina Urbina); brother, Chad D. Patton; and sister, Rachel R. Patton (Justin Bennett); sisters by choice, Jodie Patton and Tess Kingston; immediate nieces and nephews, Corbin Patton, Daniele Patton, Stella Warren, Scottie Santalla, Brendan Santalla and Makaylyn Bennett. Danny has a very large extended family. The names are too many to list, but he loved them all.
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials to B.A.Y.S. Soccer or Gulf Coast United Futbol Clubhttps://www.paypal.com/paypalme/pattonmemorial
