Danny E. Metcalf, age 64, of Gulfport, passed away on March 29, 2008 in Gulfport.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Geneva Smith Barclay; his stepfather, Mack Barclay; and two brothers, Allen Barclay and Jerry Barclay.
Danny is survived by his life partner, Janet Pattilla, of Gulfport; his children, Forrest Metcalf and his wife, Judy, and Lisa Yates and her husband, Jeff; five sisters, Kay Gilchrist and her husband, Charles, Venice Roberts and her husband, Jackie, Deborah Barber and her husband, Gary, Sue Huff and her husband, Joe, and Nancy Lecanto; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
He served in the U.S. Army and was a decorated Vietnam veteran. Danny owned Macbar Paint and Decorating Co in Jacksonville, FL before retiring to the Gulf Coast. Danny was a special person and touched many lives. He is at peace following a long illness.
