Born in Antigo, Wisconsin, he dedicated 23 years of his life to service in the United States Air Force, a tenure that earned him several commendations, including a Purple Heart. After retiring from military service, Daniel transitioned into a fulfilling career with the United States Post Office, where he continued to serve his community with integrity and dedication. His life was characterized not only by his professional achievements but also by the joy he found in his hobbies. An avid outdoorsman, he cherished hunting, fishing, and boating, activities that brought him solace and adventure amid the beauty of nature. Most importantly, he treasured the time spent with his family, creating lasting memories that will forever hold a special place in their hearts.

As a Roman Catholic, Daniel found strength and guidance in his faith, which was a cornerstone of his life. He leaves behind a legacy of courage, kindness, and unwavering support for those in need.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ervin and Evangline Wagner; and his brother, Irvin Wagner.
