Daniel W. Moore, U.S. Navy, Retired, age 52 and a resident of Long Beach, passed away on Thursday, December 2, 2010, in Baghdad, Iraq.
Mr. Moore retired from the United States Navy and served during Operation Desert Storm. He also served in Kosovo and was currently doing logistic work for KVR in Iraq.
He enjoyed fishing, entertaining with friends, music, and cooking.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Dorothy Moore.
He is survived by his wife, Beth Moore; his children, Christopher W. Moore, Mark L. Moore; his brother, Gary Moore; and his sister, Velma Moore Ryan.
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 13, 2010, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Riemann Family Funeral Home, 19130 Commission Road in Long Beach.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, December 14, 2010, at 9:30 AM at St. Thomas Catholic Church in Long Beach.
Burial will follow at Biloxi National Cemetery.
