Daniel Haulsee

Daniel Thomas Haulsee, age 64, of Gulfport, passed away on June 5, 2021.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Minnie Coye Haulsee; a sister, Darlene Haulsee Saucier; his father-in-law/best friend, Don Parks; his mother-in-law, Shirley Parks; and a niece, Lauren Young.
Daniel is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Laura Parks Haulsee; his children, Donovan Haulsee and Brianne Haulsee Lupold (Troy); a brother, Butch Haulsee (Amy); his sisters-in-law, Donna Parks Young (Bruce), Kelli Parks Hawkins, and Toni Lott; numerous nieces, nephews, and his special Yorkie "Lily."
He was a lifelong resident of Gulfport and he was a graduate of Gulfport High School where he was a member of the phenomenal 1975 Gulfport Commodores Basketball Team that went 40-0. He spent 45 years working in the HVAC/refrigeration industry as a salesman and also in management. Daniel enjoyed speckled trout fishing, playing his favorite slot machine, taking road trips, watching the Saints with his son, eating meals his daughter and son-in-law cooked, and spending all of his free time with his family.
He always told us that he came into the world kicking and screaming and that's how he would go out. He fought hard to the very end. He loved his family more than anything in the world and was not ready to leave us. He will forever be in out hearts.
The family would like to thank the wonderful nurses and staff at Singing River Hospital-Gulfport for their loving care of Daniel.
A visitation will be on Thursday, June 10, 2021, from 5 - 7 pm at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport.
