Dallas Spencer York, age 82 and a resident of Gulfport, died on Saturday, May 22, 2010.
Mr. York was a lifelong resident of the MS Gulf Coast. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, and was a member of Nugent United Methodist Church in Gulfport.
Mr. York is preceded in death by his parents, Samuel & Augusta Miller York, and his wife, Mazie Nabors York.
He is survived by his children, Gary York of Gulfport, George (Tawnya) York of Saucier, Leta (Curtis) Whitlock, and Louise (Charles, Jr.) Bryan all of Troy, MO; his brothers, Charles York, Marvin York, and Johnny York; his sisters, Ruby Henry, June Thompson, and Jenny Fossett; 9 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 27, 2010, from 6pm-8pm at the Riemann Family Funeral Home, 11280 Three Rivers Road in Gulfport.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, May 28, 2010, at 10:00 a.m. at Nugent United Methodist Church in Gulfport, where friends may visit one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Floral Hills Cemetery.
