Mr. Dale Ring Zhe, age 85, resident of Gulfport, passed away on Wednesday, August 19, 2009, in Gulfport.
Mr. Zhe was born in Osseo, WI to the late Bert and Lora Ring Zhe. He served in the United States Air Force during WWII, the Korean War, and several other overseas tours, before retiring as a Chief MSgt after 30 years. He enjoyed gardening and woodworking, and left his sons the legacy of his love for fishing and boatbuilding. He will also be remembered for his love of baking fresh bread for family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Janice Zhe; parents; son, Arden Zhe; and brother, Roy Zhe.
He is survived by his children, David Zhe of Biloxi, James """"Jim"""" Zhe of Lucedale and his wife Pat, Janell Zhe of Richmond, VA and John, Kathy Grimes of Biloxi and her husband Earl, Leslie Zhe of Biloxi, Joe Zhe of Long Beach and his wife Erlene; sister, Marguerite Johnson of Osseo, WI; 10 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren; special friend and neighbor, Peggy Sullivan.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Odyssey Hospice for their compassionate care and support.
Visitation will be held on Monday, August 24, 2009, at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport, where friends may visit from 9-10:30 am. A procession will then leave for Evergreen Gardens for graveside services.
