Master Sergeant, United States Air Force retired, Cynthia JoAnn Diggs Manning, of Ocean Springs, MS passed away Monday, January 29th, 2024, at Ocean Springs Hospital after a lengthy battle with numerous illnesses.
Born June 26, 1957, in Hot Springs, Arkansas to Cecil Charles Diggs and Robbie Nell Parsons Diggs, Cynthia spent her childhood years working the land with her Daddy Cecil and Papaw Diggs always trying to keep it up and make it better.
She graduated from Caddo Hills High School in 1975. She joined the United States Air Force in 1978 where she honorably served our country for 20 years. Her military service allowed her to travel to many places such as Missouri, Republic of the Philippines, Illinois, Republic of South Korea, Tokyo, Japan, Blytheville, Arkansas and her retirement location of Biloxi, Mississippi. She held associate degrees in Military Studies and Computer Information Management.
Cynthia leaves to cherish her memories her husband of 20 years, Tony Manning; daughter Emily Boulet of Gulfport, MS; two bonus children Jayla and Semaj Manning both of Biloxi, MS.; one sister, Virginia Marie Diggs Fryar; one nephew Jason Fryar, both of Glenwood, Arkansas; and one niece, Candi Fryar of Tampa, Florida, as well as several aunts, uncles, and other extended family members.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Cecil and Robbie Diggs; maternal and paternal grandparents; Thomas Delton and Stoe Boyd-Parsons, A.I. and Ura Diggs, and her beloved dogs Sir Charles and Weig.
A visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, February 9, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. until the 12:00 p.m. funeral service at Amazing Grace Ministries, located at 1783 Pass Road in Biloxi, MS. Interment in Biloxi National Cemetery with full military honors being rendered by The United States Air Force Honor Guard will follow.
