Curtis R. Bauer, age 82, resident of Long Beach, died, Monday, June 18, 2007 at home.
Mr. Bauer was born in Dubuque, Iowa. He was a resident of the coast for over 30 years. Mr. Bauer served in the U.S. Navy during WWII and the Korean War and was a Pharmacist's Mate Second Class in the US Navy and Marines. He retired as a carpenter from University of Southern Mississippi.
Mr. Bauer was preceded in death by his wife, Eula F. Bauer, his baby sister, Mary Lehnen and his parents, Reinhold and Leona Walker Bauer.
He is survived by his children, Linda Joyce Schilling and husband James of Schenectady, NY, Lenore Helene Brough and husband Wally of Valatie, NY, Janell Maria Scott and husband Charlie of East Greenbush, NY, Julie Ann Wenz and husband Arthur of Niverville, NY, and two stepdaughters, an older brother, Arnold Bauer of Illinois; eleven grandchildren, Renee', Chad, Desiree', Jacob, Whitney, Katie, Amy, Holly, Naylor, Mickey and Robbie; three great grandchildren, Johnny, Alessandra and Kayden two step grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Graveside services were held Wednesday, June 20, 2007 at Anderson Cemetery in Carnes, MS.
