CMSgt. James H. McQuinn, USAF, retired, of Gulfport, MS passed way on November 15, 2011. James was born in Louisville, MS on October 5, 1927, the son of Cody G. and Laverne McQuinn.
He was a Vietnam Veteran who served his country with honor for 28 years. During this time he was a jet mechanic and crew chief on many different types of airplanes. CMSgt. McQuinn spent most of his military years in the Strategic Air Command and received many awards, including the Air Force Commendation Medal, Bronze Star Medal, and Meritorious Service Medal.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Billy McQuinn.
Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Erlene Childs McQuinn; two daughters, Charlotte I. (Dan) Hickman and Sandra K. (Rick) Ladner; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one sister, Syble McQuinn; and one brother, Spiva G. (Mary) McQuinn.
Visitation will be held Monday, November 21, 2011, 10:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 274 Beauvoir Road, Biloxi, MS. The Funeral Service will follow at 11:30 a.m. Interment with military honors will be in Biloxi National Cemetery.
