Clinton Earl Matthews

Clinton Earl Matthews, age 64, of Diamondhead, passed away on Tuesday, May 7, 2024.

He is preceded in death by his father, William Matthews, Sr.; his brothers, Matt Matthews and Gregory Matthews; and his sister, Veronica Daw Johnson.

He is survived by his mother, Peggy Matthews of Pass Christian; his former wife, Cynthia Matthews of Diamondhead; his sons Joshua Matthews of Kiln, Bronson Peterson of Lizana, Todd Matthews of Diamondhead, Cody Fisher of Diamondhead; his daughters, Peggy (PJ) Richards of Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina, Heather Gambill of Kiln; his brothers, William Matthews of Long Beach and Christopher Matthews of Pass Christian, along with many grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Clinton was a native of Robertsville, North Carolina and a brick mason. He loved NASCAR, fishing, and football. He had many friends and family and never met a stranger.

A memorial service will be held for Clinton on Wednesday, May 15, 2024, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at The Dedeaux Ballfield, Road 350, Kiln, MS 39556.
