Mr. Clinton Powell Bond, age 67, resident of Ocean Springs, MS, passed away on Tuesday, January 18, 2011.
Mr. Bond was born in Gulfport to Adrian William and Georgia Ann Gill Bond. He served in the U.S. Navy and U.S. Army before retiring after 22 years as Sgt 1st Class. After his military career, he worked at Stennis Space Center in the Security Division. He was a big hockey fan of the SeaWolves and the Surge.
He was preceded in death by his father; brother, Floyd Bond; and sisters, Delphia Fitts and Linda Mattie.
He is survived by his mother, Georgia Bond of Waveland; son, Steven Bond of Gulfport; brothers, Horace Bond of Gulfport, Avin Bond of Tucson, AZ, and Charles Bond of Birmingham, AL; sisters, Barbara Prater of Bay St. Louis, Kay Horne of Waveland, and Bonnie Ammon of Orlando, FL.
Graveside services with full military honors provided by the U.S. Army will be held on Tuesday, January 25, 2011 at 1:30 p.m. at Biloxi National Cemetery.
