Clint M. Cuevas of Kiln, Mississippi, passed away on December 20, 2020 at the age of sixty-seven.
Clint was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, and entertaining people with his witty stories and easy-going wisdom. He was a graduate of Hancock High School, Class of 71, and the University of Southern Mississippi, Class of ‘75 with a degree in personnel management. Clint spent much of his career in various businesses working as a manager and salesman. His most rewarding work, however, was investing in the lives of all who met him. With a gift for talk, he had a welcoming spirit that never met a stranger and allowed him to make many life-long friends—whether that was a hunting buddy for exploring the woods, a mentor to coach him on the river, a youth who needed counsel, or just a friend for sharing life’s trials. He will be missed by all who knew him.
All who met him understood that the love of his life and best friend was his adoring wife, Jean Marie Cuevas. Clint and Jean were married on November 8, 1975 and spent their forty-five years of marriage building a life of joy, commitment, faith, love, and the deepest friendship.
Clint is preceded in death by his father, Arthur Cuevas; and brother, Paul Cuevas.
His life is honored in the memories of his wife, Jean Marie Cuevas; sons, Eugene and William Cuevas; mother, Myrtle May Cuevas; brother, Tim Cuevas; sister, Darlene Hurst; sisters-in-law, Myra Cuevas (Paul) and Cindy Cuevas (Tim); brother-in-law, Arthur Hurst (Darlene); daughter-in-law, Jennifer Cuevas (Eugene); grandchildren, Olivia, Julia, and Isaac Cuevas; and a host of nieces and nephews.
