Clifton E. Ladner, Sr., age 84, of Lizana, passed away Wednesday, June 4, 2008 in Pass Christian.
Mr. Ladner retired from Irby Steel after more than 20 years. He served in the United States Navy in the Pacific Theater during World War II. After retirement, he was a furniture maker.
Mr. Ladner is preceded in death by his parents, Edwin Ladner and Senora Ladner; his brother; Jackie Ladner; and his sisters, Emma Lee Weaver and Edna VanSickle.
Survivors include his children: Carolyn Peterson of Steep Hollow; Kathleen Mills of Saucier; Wayne Ladner of Saucier; Vonnie Ladner of Crane Creek; Clifton E. Ladner, Jr. of Saucier; Nancy Saucier of Lizana; Cathy Hammett of Fenton; and Randy Ladner of Saucier; his brother Herbert (Dennis) Ladner of Pass Christian; his sister, Emily Boone of Gulfport; 17 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Friday, June 6, 2008 from 6:00 PM unitl 8:00 PM at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11213 Hwy 49N, Gulfport.
