Cliff Sutton Jr

Cliff Sutton Jr, 55 of Gulfport passed away suddenly on December 19, 2024. He was born on February 2, 1969 in Port St. Joe, Florida. Cliff is preceded in death by his father, Louie Sutton Sr; maternal grandmother, Gloria Houseman; and his grandson, Bentlee Clyfton Grimes.

Cliff attended Harrison Central High School in 1987. Cliff always worked in construction and worked at Louis Smith Construction for a long time. He also worked alongside his mother at Touch of Class Landscaping. Cliff also worked at Casino Magic and President Casino back in the day. Recently, he was helping install internet and satellite TV. Cliff had a personality bigger than life, and was always telling a joke or a funny story. He was an avid Saints fan through and through. He also had a love for the open road riding his Harley Motorcycle. Cliff had a voice and could sing, and loved singing Hank Williams Jr. Some of his friends even nicked named him “Hank”, because of his ability to carry a tune. Cliff was a loving and devoted son, father, brother, grandfather and friend to so many. His memory lives on in all of us, and his legacy lives on. We know that God called him home and he is singing in heaven. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Cliff is survived by his mother, Gloria (Howell) Morgan; son, Cliff (Alexis) Sutton; daughters, Emily Sutton, and Hannah Sutton; grandchildren, Waylon Sutton, and Anastasia Grimes; brother, Eric Watkins; niece, Alexis; nephews, Devin, and William “Junior”; and a life long friend, Sonny Ferrill. Cliff also leaves behind to cherish his memory a host of friends and extended family.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Monday, December 23, 2024 at the Riemann Family Funeral Home (11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport). His Funeral Service will be held at 7:00 pm on Monday, December 23, 2024 at the Riemann Family Funeral Home with his cousin, Milton Houseman officiating.
