Cleon S. DunHurst, age 52, of Kiln, died of accidental drowning on September 19, 2009 in Vicksburg, MS.
He was preceded in death by his father, Leon """"Pete"""" DunHurst; his stepson, Chris Warwick; and his son in law, Keith Beichner.
He is survived by his mother, Teresa """"Tee"""" DunHurst, of Kiln; three daughters, Ashley DunHurst of Colorado, Kelly Beichner of Louisiana, and Candy Presley of Texas; three brothers, Renea DunHurst and Joseph DunHurst, both of Kiln, and Pete DunHurst and his wife, Tamala, of Covington, LA; two sisters, Sonya Kowalski and her husband, Pete, of Kiln, and Penne DunHurst of Covington; and six grandchildren.
He was of the Baptist faith. A tugboat captain, he spent over 30 years working on rivers across the southern U.S. He was instrumental in encouraging other family members to follow in his footsteps. He will be loved and missed by all.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 26, 2009 at Noon at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 9113 Kiln Delisle Rd, Pass Christian where family and friends may visit from 10:00 AM until service time. Burial will be held at a later date.
