Clements Bernard Kilinar, 86 of Bay St. Louis, died Sunday, May 14, 2006 in Biloxi.
Mr. Kilinar was born in Slaughter, La. and resided in Pass Christian and Bay St. Louis most of his adult life.
He was active in and enjoyed his CC Camp annual reunions at Clarko State Park. He was a veteran of WW II, surviving the D Day Invasion on Normandy Beach. He served his country in the U.S. Army for 11 years, serving under General Patton. He received numerous citations including a Purple Heart. Clem could fix anything and was able to put his talents to work in his community, as a self employed skilled craftsman.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Theresa Ulrich Saucier, step-father, Arthur Saucier, his father Oscar Kilinar, Sr. and his brother, Oscar J. Kilinar, Jr., and first wife, Dorothy Kilinar.
Survivors include his wife Verdlee Shiyou Kilinar, 1 daughter, Kathern Edwards (Eddie Edwards), 1 grandson, David Edwards, 6 step-children, Geraldine Bilbo Stolz, Jewel Bilbo Lively, Larry Bilbo, BJ Bilbo, Karen Bilbo Olson and Elzie Bilbo, numerous nieces and nephews, 2 sisters-in-law, Belle Kilinar and Zillyann Shiyou, 16 step-grandchildren, 12 step-great grandchildren and 1 step great-great grandchild. He will be sadly missed by his wife, family, and friends.
Services will be held Tuesday, May 16, 2006 at 3 PM, at Gulf Coast Funeral Homes, Inc., Kiln Delisle Rd Chapel Visitation will be from 1PM to 3 PM with burial at Rotten Bayou Cemetery.
