Clell Everett Allen, Senior, age 83, of Pass Christian, entered into eternal rest on August 7, 2024.
Clell was born on December 15, 1940, to Robert Allen and Doris Woodcock Allen.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert Allen and Doris Woodcock Allen; daughter, Dawn Allen; grandson, Jake Owens; and sisters, Gaynell Cibulski and Janet Tracy.
He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Patricia Ellington Allen; his children, Clell E. Allen, Jr. (Robin), and Cherie LeBlanc (Shane); his grandchildren, Tyler Birge, Brandy Cramer, Brooke Walters, Michael LeBlanc (Cassie), and Cole LeBlanc; his great grandchildren, Saskia, Ty, Ryder, and Banks LeBlanc and Trevor and Caleb Walters; his siblings, Adell Perez and Darrell Allen; and many nieces and nephews.
Clell Allen was a man with many names: Husband, Daddy, Paw Paw, Grandpa, Pastor, Uncle, and Friend. In his 83 years, Clell dedicated his life to serving God, with his 51 years surrendered to the ministry. He had the honor of pastoring at 5 churches, leading countless people to God, and several to ministry. He was a member of Local Union 903 for 61 years. He also served in the United States Navy for 4 years on the USS Forrestal.
Everyone that had the privilege of knowing Clell would say that he was a gentle man with a soft serving heart and his friendship was everlasting.
Clell and Pat, his wife of 60 years, built a beautiful family together. It started with 3 kids and has grown to include 6 grandkids and 6 great grandkids. He loved everyone in his family, but he sure had a soft spot for the little ones. And the little ones sure loved him! He would sit for hours playing on the floor, fishing, and making memories with his grandkids. In those moments the light never left his eyes and the joy in his smile never waned.
Although our hearts are filled with sorrow, it brings peace knowing he is now home.
