Clayton Livingston

Clayton Stafford Livingston, 59, died Saturday, July 2, 2022 at his home in Ocean Springs, MS.

Clay is preceded in death by his parents, Jackie Risher and James Allen “Charlie” Livingston; and his father-in-law, Ray Fournier.

He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Donna Fournier Livingston; daughter, Kristen (Brent) Parker; granddaughter, Ava and grandson, Cole; sisters, Pam Jowers and Nona Palazzo; step-mother Katie Livingston; step-brother,  Douglas (Debbie) McInnis; his father and mother-in-law, Weldon and Sandra Babuchna; sisters and brothers-in-law, Denise (Doodle) Ramsay, Darlene Williams, Charlene (Dwayne) Parker, Rhonda (JD) Heath, Weldon (Katie) Babuchna, Jessica Founier; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and dear friends.

Clay is a native of Charleston, South Carolina, and has lived on the Mississippi Gulf Coast for the past 51 years.  He is a graduate of St. Martin High School.  Clay began his working career in 1981 for Rowan Companies, Inc. and retired from ARO Drilling as maintenance supervisor in April 2021.  During his 40 years in the oilfield he met and worked under many fine bosses and with great coworkers; forming a tight- knit brotherhood.   These friendships have lasted throughout the years; keeping in touch with each other during good times and bad.

Deeply in love and inseparable, Donna and Clay would actively seek out adventures, and he always kept the calendar filled with future escapades.  Clay was a people person and never met a stranger.  His ability to make others comfortable, his great personality, and his contagious laugh turned many acquaintances into lifelong friends along his journey.

Clay was a giving, caring and selfless son, brother, husband, dad, grandfather, uncle, and friend. He shared his knowledge and skill set with others and would do anything for anyone.  Many friends and family have projects around their homes which were completed by Clay’s talented and generous hands. There was no project too big or too small, and he always made sure to see it through to the end.

Playing cards, camping, traveling, cheering on the Saints, manning the grill, and hosting parties in his backyard oasis were just a few of the many things that Clay enjoyed. His greatest joy in life, however, was spending time with his beautiful grandchildren, Ava Leigh and Cole.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 10446 Lemoyne Boulevard, D’iberville, MS. on Thursday, July 7, 2022 with a visitation for friends from 12:00 p.m. until Mass is Celebrated at 2:00 p.m.
