Mr. Clayton ""C.C."" Davis, age 77, resident of Biloxi, passed away on Monday, March 14, 2011 after a lengthy battle with cancer.
Mr. Davis was born in Poughkeepsie, NY to Clayton Tripp and Eileen Clark Davis. He served in the United States Air Force and was a computer engineer. He worked for IBM and Rockwell International before retiring. He loved fishing, golf, and going to the casinos to listen to live music. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Shirley Vuyovich Davis; five children, Melinda Davis Leverett (Keith) of Pensacola, FL, Clayton C. Davis, Jr. (Jan) of Woolmarket, Scott Davis of D'Iberville, Laura Davis of D'Iberville, and Kathleen Davis Savell of D'Iberville; 10 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; and his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, whom he has been very close to over the years.
The family wishes to thank the staff of Canon Hospice for the love and care they have given to their entire family. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Akula Foundation, c/o Canon Hospice, 1221 S. Clearview Pkwy, Jefferson, LA 70121.
Private graveside services will be held at the Biloxi National Cemetery.
