Clara B. Benedict

Clara B. Dixon Benedict, age 85 and a resident of Gulfport, died on Saturday, March 21, 2009, in Gulfport. Mrs. Benedict was a native of Los Angeles, CA and had been a resident of Gulfport for the past 8 years. She attended the First Assembly of God Church in Gulfport. She is preceded in death by her parents, Lyman Alfonso & Vivian Rebecca Tatum Dixon and her husband, Lloyd Henry Benedict. Mrs. Benedict is survived by her children, Marjorie (Joseph) Bennett of Gulfport, Michael (RuEllyn) Benedict of Twentynine Palms, CA, and Marie (John) Stein of Alabama; her uncle, William Tatum of New York; 8 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, one nephew and one niece. Mrs. Benedict will be sent from the Riemann Family Funeral Home, 11280 Three Rivers Road in Gulfport, to Mead Mortuary in Barstow, CA for services and burial.
