Claire Keel

Clair """"Ruth"""" Keel, age 92 and a resident of Gulfport, died Saturday, November 10, 2007 in Gulfport.
She was a member of the Long Beach Presbyterian Church. She and her four sisters established and operated Fentress Printing Company in Gulfport and Biloxi. She was also active in volunteer work with the Gulfport School System. Mrs. Keel was a resident of Driftwood Nursing Home for two and a half years, and leaves behind many good friends and nurses who cared for her.
Mrs. Keel was preceded in death by her husband, Lionel V. Keel, Sr.; her parents, Jon Leo Fentress and Jennie Louise Fentress; a son, Von Leo Keel; 5 brothers; and 10 sisters.
She is survived by a son Lionel (Nubbins) V. Keel, Jr. and his wife, Suzanne Reese, of Long Beach; two daughters: LouAnn Lott, and her husband, Billy, of Long Beach and Marie Keel Cox, and her husband, Joe, of Pass Christian; a sister, Adele Offutt Brown of Summerville, SC; grandchildren: Crystal Rene Cardillo of Maryville, TN, Jennifer Dyanne Keel, of Monroe, GA, Jacqueline Ruth Keel Eaton, and her husband, Glenn, of Lawrenceville, GA, Heather Welch, and her husband, Duncan, of Brandon, MS, Justin Von Lott, of Brandon, MS, Stephenie Ruthanne Murray, and her husband, Anthony, of Woolmarket, and Jay Stevenson Cox of Long Beach.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, November 13, 2007 at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11928 Commission Rd, Long Beach. Friends may visit from 10:00 a.m. until service time.
