Christopher Ryan Fayard of Biloxi, MS., passed away unexpectedly at his home on January 15, 2022 only days after celebrating his 44th birthday, leaving his mother, brother and other relatives and dear friends in total disbelief and truly heartbroken.
Chris will be remembered from his earlier days working along side his dad, mom, aunts and uncles at the Curb Market in D’Iberville, then later at Fayard’s B.P.(now Marathon), and as a graduate from D’Iberville High School, a loving son, brother, nephew, uncle, cousin and dear friend to so many. However, in his adult life, most will remember him for his love of music, him playing his guitar and how gifted he truly was. He played numerous venues along the Ms. Coast with Split 6, Joshua Sun and Aura including Thunders Tavern, The Purple Pelican, The Phoenix Lounge, Kress Live, the CPR Fest at the Ms Coast Coliseum. He will also be remembered for organizing “Fayard Fest” in honor of those he loved and lost to cancer.
Chris is preceded in death by his Dad, James M. (Jimmie) Fayard, Sr.; his brother, James M. (Lil Jimmie) Fayard, Jr., his paternal grandparents, Elvis and Marie (Vuyovich) Fayard; his maternal grandparents, Bill and Edith Edelman; and his Aunt, Delores Fayard.
He is survived by his Mom who will be so lost without him, Sheila Kay Edelman Zeiss and her husband, Grady; his brother, Joshua Adam Fayard; his nephew, Maddox James Fayard; his uncles, Lee Edelman, Elvas Fayard (Barbara), Keith Fayard; his aunts Teri Wilson, Shelby McVeay and Dorinda Fayard; his step-mom, Johnnie Lynn Fayard; step brother and sisters, Nick Thibodeaux (Lindsay), Ashton Smith (Chris), and Lauren Quave; his cousins who will forever cherish memories from their childhood, Nicole, Mandy, Jason, Rickey, Scott, Tiffany and other cousins, relatives and dear friends.
A Celebration of Chris’ Life will be held with his family and friends on March 26, 2022 with a "Fayard Fest" being planned at "The Juke Joint" on Government Street in Ocean Springs, MS beginning at 4:00 p.m. For information visit http://www.thesound228.com/fayardfest
