Christopher Simpson Hanson, age 47, of Gulfport, passed away on Monday, March 2, 2009, in Gulfport.
Mr. Hanson was born in Gulfport and graduated from Gulfport High School. He previously worked in the citrus business in Vero Beach, FL, and on boats serving the oil industry in the Gulf.
Mr. Hanson was preceded in death by his father, R.W. Hanson, and his grandparents, R.C. """"Rimmer"""" and Ruby Simpson.
He is survived by his mother, Betty Jo Simpson and stepfather, Bill Schultz, of Gulfport; daughter, Britni Hanson of Vero Beach, FL; two brothers, Doug Hanson of Gulfport, and David Hanson of Sausalito, CA; and niece, Ruby Hanson.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 6, 2009, at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11213 Highway 49 North, from 11:30a.m. until 1:00p.m. Funeral services will be held at 1:00p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
