Christopher S. Caccioppo JR. 68 ,died March 2, 2015. He was a lifelong resident of Pass Christian. He served in the Navy, and served a tour of duty in Vietnam. He served on U.S.S Annapolis AGHR-1 (11-19-1968-12/17/1969), U.S.S. Salinan, ATF-161 (1/15/1970-4/4/1972), U.S.S. Putman DD557 (5/6/1972-9/29/1973), U.S.S W.C. Lawe DD763 (9/1/1973-7/30/1976), FIT S. Pruance, Ingalls shipyard (8/7/1976-8-7-1978), U.S.S. Talbot FFGH (8/8/1978-3-13-1979). After his military service he retired from DuPont Delisle Plant.
He was preceded in death by his parents. Horace and Mary Ladner and his son-in-law Keith Ladner all of Pass Christian. Survivors include his wife Sandra Ladner Caccioppo of 43 years of marriage. His one son Ray Caccioppo (Jane), three daughters, Cassondra Lawless (Greg), Tina Blackwell (Tony), Stephanie Hebert (Jamie). Seven grandchildren. Christina Lawless, Jessica Brown, Emily Lawless, Christopher Caccioppo, Ethan Breland, Mary Ladner, and Ryan Breland. Three great grandchildren, Macy Brown, Jonathan Brown JR, Madden Hall.
He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He had many hobbies including, wood work, fishing, cooking, sharing recipes and automotive.
Visitation will be on Saturday, March 7, 2015, from 10 am - 1 pm at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 9113 Kiln DeLisle Road. The funeral service will be at 1 pm in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery @ Rotten Bayou.
