Chief Stewart

Chief Donald Keith Stewart, Gulfport Fire Dept, Retired, age 74, of Gulfport, passed away on December 24, 2018.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Stewart; his parents, Robert and Elberta Stewart; and 2 brothers, Earl Stewart and Burnel Stewart.
Survivors include his children, Donald Keith "Donnie" Stewart, Jr., and Amy King (James); 2 siblings, Maurey Stewart (Patty) and Marie Simmons (Hubert); a grandchild, Julianna Stewart; and other relatives and friends.
He served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War and later retired as Assistant Chief from the Gulfport Fire Department.  After retirement, he began working as a dispatcher with Rocking C Truck Lines.  He was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church and was an avid golfer.
Visitation will be on Saturday, December 29, 2018, from 10 - 11 am at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Rd., Gulfport.  The funeral service will be at 11 am in the funeral home chapel.  Interment will be in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens with honors to be rendered by the Gulfport Fire Department Honor Guard.
