Chester A. Wright

Chester A. Wright, 84, passed away Sunday, February 22, 2015 in Gulfport. He served 28 years in the United States Navy, serving during the Vietnam War. During his service in the Navy he served on the USS Eisenhower, USS Lake Champlain and numerous other ships. He was working as a boarding officer for the U.S. Navy ships in Hong Kong for five years where he retired. Additionally he was a life member of BPOE 978 in Gulfport, a life member of Wamesit lodge in Tewksbury, MA, member of the Scottish Rite and a member of the Joppa Shine Temple in Gulfport.
He is preceded in death his parents, Allen Wright and Dorothy Wright, sister, Darlene Wright and a brother, Gregory Wright.
He is survived by his loving wife, Katherine Sue Wright of Gulfport; 3 daughters, Wendy Ducherme of Chemsford, MA, Tami Lynne Macri of Haverhill, MA and Cheryl Sevigney (Dennis) of Dracket, MA; 4 sons, Edward Wright (Sarah) of National City, CA, Jon Wright of Holliston, MA, Kevin Wright (Barbara) of Derry, NH and Michael Doggett (Janell) of Burlington, WA; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The funeral service will be at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 26, 2015 at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport. Visitation will be held Thursday at 8:30 a.m. until service time. Burial will follow the service at Biloxi National Cemetery.
