Chester Anthony Prestenbach, Sr., age 71, of Hancock County, died Monday, April 5, 2010 in Harrison County.
Mr. Prestenbach was a born in Lafitte, LA and was a resident of Hancock County for the past 34 years. He was a captain on a crewboat for years, and worked for Hunt-Wesson Foods for 18 years. He was a crabber and fisherman till the day he died on the water. He will be missed by all his loved ones, family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Roy Prestenbach, Sr.; mother, Irene Badeaux Prestenbach; brothers, Larry Prestenbach, Sr., Oscar Prestenbach and Howard Prestenbach.
Survivors include his wife, Clara aÌ‚â‚Å“Billie MaeaÌ‚â‚ Steele Prestenbach, Hancock County; sons, Chester Prestenbach, Jr. and Wayne Prestenbach (Dorothy); siblings, Roy Prestenbach, Jr., Beverly Orcutt, Sylvia Richtofen, Mary Jane Richoux, Virginia Hebert, Brenda Rodriguez and Patricia Prestenbach; grandchildren, Shalane Shaneyfelt, Dalane Prestenbach, Anne Marie Prestenbach, Sarah Mae Prestenbach and Emily Renee Prestenbach; great-grandchildren, James Shaneyfelt, Jr. and Selena Shaneyfelt; and many nephews and nieces.
Graveside services will be held Thursday, April 8, 2010 at 11 a.m. at Crane Creek Cemetery. Arrangements by Riemann Family Funeral Home, 9113 Kiln Delisle Road, Pass Christian.
