Mr. Charlie Paul Schwalls, age 88, resident of Gulfport, passed away on Sunday, August 21, 2011.
Mrs. Schwalls was a native of Scott, GA. He served during WWII in the U.S. Army and had been a resident of the Coast since 1971. He was the owner of B.J.'s Upholsterly, where he had worked with his wife. His hobbies included gardening, fishing, and shrimping. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.
Mr. Schwalls was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Jo O'Mary Schwalls; his parents, Remus T. Vestus Schwalls and Agnes Gertrude Hogan Schwalls; sisters, Inez Keene, and Trixie Skinner; and brother, Ben Schwalls.
He is survived by his children, Charline Schwalls of Gulfport, and Janice Nichols (Chris) of Gulfport; grandchildren, Peggy Schwalls, Julia Schwalls, and Allison Nichols; brother, Bob Schwalls; and sister, Eleanor Wilson.
Graveside services with miltary honors will be held at Biloxi National Cemetery, on Friday, August 26, 2011, at 2:30 p.m.
