Charlie F. King, age 87, of Gulfport, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, May 6, 2011 in Gulfport.
Mrs. King was a long-time resident of Gulfport. She was a cosmetologist for 52 years, having worked at Emma's Hair Salon and at Raybourns Hair Center. She was an active member of New Hope Baptist Church, where she was the teacher of the ""Charlie's Angels"" Sunday School Class.
The family would like to express their gratitude to the staffs at Memorial Hospital, Unit 4C and to Lakeview Nursing Center.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William D. King; parents, Samuel and Georgia Fant; sister, Etoy Gunter; and brother, Monk Fant.
Survivors include her daughters, Debrann K. Favre and husband, Gilbert, and Deneice King, all of Gulfport; her sister, Anna Morgan of Eupora, MS; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Chimes Fund at New Hope Baptist Church, 17430 Landon Road, Gulfport.
Visitation will be Sunday, May 8, 2011 from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11213 Highway 49 North in Gulfport.
The funeral service will be on Monday at 10:00 a.m. at New Hope Baptist Church, where friends may visit one hour prior. Burial will follow at Coalville Cemetery.
