Charley "Bill" Allen, age 84, passed away Wednesday, November 29, 2017 in Gulfport.
Mr. Allen served in the USAF for 22 years as an Air Traffic Controller, retiring as a MSGT at Keesler AFB in 1976. He received an exemplary service award in 1962, the Keesler AFB "TOPS" individual safety award in 1971, and the Air Force Commendation medal in 1976. After retirement, he enjoyed woodworking and spending time with family.
He is preceded in death by his parents, William and Ethel Hodges Allen.
He is survived by his son, Charles Aaron Allen (Alicia) of Gulfport; two granddaughters; Mikayla Allen and Willow Allen both of Gulfport; sister, Dovie Allen of Pascagoula; brother, Willie "Doc" Allen of Vancleave.
