Charles A. """"Chuck"""" Williams, Sr., age 65, of Long Beach, died on Monday, February 26, 2007 in Long Beach after a courageous battle with cancer.
Chuck served with the United States Army in both Korea and Vietnam. He reitred from Mississippi Power Company after working in the accounting department for 18 years. He was also a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church and enjoyed fishing.
Mr. Williams is preceded in death by his parents, Julius and Clennis Pettis.
Survivors include his loving wife of 46 1/2 years, Jan Williams of Long Beach; his son, Charles Austin """"Chuckie"""" (Tammie) Williams, Jr., of Long Beach; and daughter, Kimberly (Criswell) Brown of Lumberton; his sisters, Verna Jean (Don) Smith of Salem, OR, Julie (Jim) Lee of San Antonio, TX, Theresa (Leslie) Peterson of Houston, TX, and Betty Jane Berry of San Antonio, TX; 4 grandchildren, Spc. Christopher Street, US Army, Amber Williams, Austin Williams, and Taylor Williams; a godchild, Michelle Carver and many nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, March 1, 2007 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Thomas Catholic Church on Daugherty Road in Long Beach, where friends may visit an hour before Mass. Burial will follow at Biloxi National Cemetery in Biloxi, MS.
