Charles "Paw Paw Charlie" West

Charles Edward West, Sr., age 86, resident of Gulfport passed away Tuesday, February 7, 2012 in Gulfport.
Mr. West was a long time resident of the Mississippi Gulf Coast. He was a former business owner of Charlie's Lion Service Station in Gulfport. He worked with the Gulfport Police Department as a reserve officer, and he worked for Hancock Bank in the Security Department.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Hubert and Maggie West; wife, Theda P. West; three brothers; and two sisters.
Survivors include his children, Charles Edward ""Eddie"" West, Jr., Daniel ""Danny"" H. West, Glenda Marie Vickers, Micki Layton, and John ""Johnnie"" G. West; sister-in-law, Edith P. ""Sissy"" Shoemaker; seven grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.
Friends are invited to a visitation with the family from nine until eleven o'clock in the morning on Saturday, the 11th of February, 2012 at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport. The funeral service is to be conducted at eleven o'clock in the morning on Saturday, the 11th of February, 2012 in the Funeral Home Chapel, where Rev. Lynn Mackey is to officiate.
