Charles Hansford Shows, age 81 and a resident of Biloxi, MS, died June 21, 2007, in Gulfport, MS.
Mr. Shows was a native of New Hebron, MS, and a resident of Biloxi for 13 years.
He was a U. S. Navy veteran of World War II. He served as a deacon at Bay Vista Baptist Church from 1995 until 2006, and at the time of his death, was a member of Woolmarket Baptist Church.
Mr. Shows was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Zola Shows; brothers, Wilroy """"Bill"""" Shows, Carl Shows, Jr., and Hubert Shows; former wife, Margene Shows; and a stepson, Freddie Lunsford.
Survivors include his wife of 13 years, Carolyn Shows, of Biloxi; a daughter, Carol Steinhauer, and husband, (Mel) of New Hebron; stepchildren, Debra Fuller and husband, Kerry, of Elberon, VA; and James L. Webster, of Biloxi; grandchildren, Tina Steinhauer, of Richland, MS; and Tony Steinhauer, of Biloxi; step-grandchildren, Michael Fuller and wife, Windily, of Abilene, TX; Megan Redwood and husband, Thomas, of Virginia Beach, VA; Ashley Webster, Bridgett Webster, and T. J. Webster, all of Biloxi; and great-grandchildren, Dalton, Austin, and Tucker; and a step-great-grandchild, Layla.
Visitation will be at THE RIEMANN FAMILY'S Riemann Funeral Home, 274 Beauvoir Road, Biloxi, on Sunday, June 24, 2007, from 2:00 until 5:00 p.m. A funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday, June 25, in the funeral home chapel. Another visitation will be at Saulters-Moore Funeral Home in Prentiss, MS, on Monday, June 25, from 3:00 until 4:00 p.m., with a graveside service at 4:30 p.m. in the New Hebron Cemetery in New Hebron.
