Charles A. Shaw, age 79 and a resident of Gulfport, MS, died on Sunday, June 19, 2011, in Gulfport.
Mr. Shaw was a longtime resident of Gulfport and was a member of Burton Memorial United Methodist Church. He served in the U.S. Air Force for 21 years, and retired from Civil Service as a mechanic after 21 years of service.
Mr. Shaw is preceded in death by his parents, Lovell & Nancy Shaw. He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Joann Shaw of Gulfport; his son, Thomas C. (Merritt) Shaw of Mobile, AL and two sisters, Dottie Hillock of Carlisle, KY and Shirley (Bill) Letcher of Jeffersonville, IN.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, June 24, 2011, at 2:00pm at Riemann Family Funeral Home, 11280 Three Rivers Road in Gulfport, where friends may visit one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Gulf Pines Cemetery.
