Charles R. Saucier, age 85, of Gulfport, passed away on June 22, 2021, at his home surrounded by his loved ones.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Katie Saucier; brothers, Hayward, Howard, and Herschel Saucier; sisters, Ruby Grace Curry, Bernice McQueen, and Alice McCraw.
Mr. Saucier is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Myrtle Saucier; 3 children, Pamela Shirley (Tommy), Patricia Westbrook (Glenn), and Timothy Saucier; 6 grandchildren, Kristina Roberts (Kevin), Kelli Uzel (Darren), Michael Westbrook (Alisha), Melissa Westbrook, Caleb Saucier, and Aidyn Saucier; 9 great-grandchildren, Xander and Raegan Roberts, Kaleigh Canaan, Cohen, and Kemper Wayne Uzel, Kinzlee and Aizlee Grace Westbrook, and Kaden Westbrook; and other relatives and friends.
He served in the MS Army National Guard for 8 years and was self employed in the construction business. He was a deacon at Kenwood Baptist Church, Gulfport, and he enjoyed working, especially driving his dump truck, and bowling.
The family would like to thank St. Joseph Hospice for taking good care of him, and Trinity Baptist Church, Kenwood Baptist Church, and Temple Baptist Church for all of their prayers and support.
Visitation will be on Thursday, June 24, 2021, from 10 am - 12 noon at Kenwood Baptist Church, 12217 Old Hwy 49, Gulfport. The funeral service will be at 12 noon in the church. Interment will be in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.
