Charles C. ""Buddy"" Rowell, age 81, of Gulfport, passed away on February 23, 2015.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Elizabeth Walters Rowell, a son, Charles Kennon Rowell, and his parents, Charlie and Pheobie Holloway Rowell.
Survivors include his children Lisa (Matt) Starner, and Greg (Shannon) Rowell, 6 grandchildren, Lacey, Haley, William, Grayson, Kennon, and Rory, a great-grandson, Kessler, his sister, Linda (Stan) Herrington, and other relatives and friends.
Mr. Rowell served in the U.S. Navy Reserves and owned/operated Buddy's Tire Mart from 1978 - 1991. He was known for his detailed storytelling, his kindness, and honesty. He was a member of the Klein Road Church of God and was a lifetime member of the NRA. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
Visitation will be on Saturday, February 28, 2015, from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport. A graveside service will be at 12 noon in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.
