Charles Walter Rowan, age 84 and a resident of Saucier, died on Wednesday, June 4, 2008 in Saucier.
Mr. Rowan was a native of Saberton, WV, a longtime resident of Jacksonville, FL and a recent resident of Saucier. He served in the United States Army Air Corp during WWII as an airplane gunner, where he received the Oak Leaf Cluster and the Air Medal.
Mr. Rowan is preceded in death by his parents, Arthur & Blanche Crites Rowan; his wife, Jan Rowan and a grandson, John Faulkner, III.
He is survived by his children, Sylvia Faulkner of Saucier, Wanda Bullock of Ocean Springs, Randy Rowan of Biloxi, and Charles """"Chuck"""" Rowan of Spring Hill, FL; 13 grandchildren, and 12 great grandchildren.
A gravesdie service will be held on Tuesday, June 10, 2008, at 9:00am at the National Cemetery in Biloxi, with military honors to be rendered by the United States Air Force.
Arrangements are being handled by the Riemann Family Funeral Home, 11280 Three Rivers Road in Gulfport.
