T/Sgt Charles Mark McMullen USAF, Retired, age 64, of Saucier, died Thursday, February 14, 2008 in Saucier.
He was a native of Pritchard, AL and had been a resident of the coast since 1979. After retirement, he served as a firefighter with Harrison County Fire Service and also worked with the junior firefighter progam. He was of the baptist faith and enjoyed leatherwork and fishing.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank Calhoun McMullen, Sr. and Bernice Gilchrist McMullen; brothers, Howard Edmond McMullen, Albert Roland McMullen, and Tony McMullen.
Survivors include his wife of 28 years, Hazel Favre McMullen, Saucier; 1 daughter, Connie McMullen, Saucier, 3 sons: Christopher McMullen and wife Alberta, Saucier, Charles McMullen, Jr. and wife Melanie, Phenix City, AL, and Corey McMullen, Semmes, AL; 1 sister, Patricia McMullen Self and husband, Dan, Geismar, AL; 4 brothers: Frank McMullen and wife Gloria, Slidell, LA, Jerry McMullen and wife Mary, Mobile, AL William McMullen, Mobile, AL, and Randy McMullen and wife Chris, Mobile, AL; 5 grandchildren: Coty McMullen and Chasiti McMullen, Saucier, Chyann McMullen and Ashley Kelley, Phenix City, AL, and Krystal Kelley, Milton, VT; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be Tuesday, February 19, 2008 at 10 am in the chapel of RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport, MS. Visitation will be from 9 - 10 am.
Interment, with full honors, will be in Biloxi National Cemetery.
