He was preceded in death by his father, Burton Kirby.
Survivors include his wife, Sally Kirby, his daughter, Shelby Kirby, his step-son, Daniel Peavy, his mother, Sandy Kirby, 4 sisters, Crystal Skinner, Carrie Ely, Jennie Evans, and Pauline Geiselman, a brother, Burton Scott Kirby, and other relatives and friends.
A memorial service will be held at 4 pm on Sunday, August 16, 2015, at Bel Aire Baptist Church, Gulfport. In lieu of flowers, the family encourages everyone to plant a tree to honor his love for the outdoors.
