Charles Hulett

Charles Edward Hulett, age 87, of Gulfport, passed away on Saturday, October 23, 2021.

Charles was a native of Lucedale, MS. He attended Murphy High School in Mobile, AL and Embry Riddle School of Aviation in Miama, FL. After retiring from the U.S. Air Force as a SMSgt, Charles, worked civil service in aviation and during that time flew with the Hurricane Hunters.  Charles love woodworking, camping but most of all loved spending time with his family.  He was completely devoted to his family, children, and grandchildren.  He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Gulfport.

Mr. Hulett was preceded in death by his father, James Walter Hulett; his mother, Vada Elizabeth Hulett; his brother, James Wilburn Hulett; and his grandson, Evan Matthew Hulett.

Charles is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Martha Lounette Hulett; his children, Charles Randall “Randy” Hulett (Ann), Kenneth Russell “Rusty” Hulett (Melissa), and James Jeffery “Rudy” Hulett; his grandchildren, Charles Taylor Hulett, Katelyn Elizabeth Hamburg (J.C.), Kyle Russell Hulett, and Brandon Alexander Hulett; his brothers and sisters in law, Carolyn and Pat O’Brien, Liesey and Don Vance, Wayne and Patsy Norman, Bud and Dorothy Norman, Donnie and Diane Norman; his niece and nephew, Terri and Todd Hulett; along with numerous other family members.

The family would like to send a special thank you to the Kare In Home Hospice care staff and to the members of the Blessing Seekers Sunday School Class of First Baptist Church-Gulfport.

The funeral service with be at 11:30 a.m., Thursday, October 28, 2021, at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 274 Beauvoir Road, Biloxi, with the visitation for family and friends starting at 10:30 a.m.  Burial will follow at Biloxi National Cemetery.
