Charles E. Hawkins, Sr., age 61, of Gulfport, died Wednesday, April 1, 2010 in Biloxi.
Mr. Hawkins was a lifelong resident of the coast and he was retired. He enjoyed playing sports and spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Doris Hawkins, Sr., a sister, Judy Wangerin, a brother, Danny Ray Hawkins, and a nephew, Justin Sanders.
He is survived by his loving wife, Dianne Hawkins, a son, Charles E. Hawkins, Jr. and his wife Ashlei, his granddaughter, Gracie Hawkins, 5 brothers and sisters, George (Sue) Hawkins, Jr., Nita (Danny) O'Neal, Victor (Amy) Hawkins, Amy Jo (Ronnie) Necaise, and Donna (Ed) Hoffman, a brother-in-law, Carrol Wangerin, and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Visitation will be Saturday, April 3, 2010 from 9:30 - 11 am at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Road. The funeral service will begin at 11 am in the funeral home chapel.
Interment will be in Finley Cemetery.
