Charles Thomas Hartman, age 68 and a resident of Biloxi, went to his Heavenly Home on Saturday, February 23, 2008 in Biloxi.
Tom was born on March 04, 1939 in Columbus, Ohio. He retired from the U.S. Army in 1986 after 28 years of service. He received multiple honors, serving one tour of duty in Korea and two tours in Vietnam and in Germany during the Berlin Crisis. Tom was a faithful member of Bible Baptist Church in Gulfport.
He is preceded in death by his father, William Nelson Hartman and his mother, Phyllis Morris.
He will be missed by his loving wife of 48 years, Sue Hartman; his sons, Chuck Hartman of Anderson, SC, Rick Hartman of Niceville, FL and his daughter, Kimberly Merola of Gulfport; four grandchildren, Ashleigh, Amanda and Nick Merola all of Gulfport and William Davis Hartman of Niceville, FL.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Tuesday, February 26, 2008 at 9:45am at Bible Baptist Church, 12200 Dedeaux Road in Gulfport. Friends may visit beginning at 9:00am. Interment will follow at the National Cemetery in Biloxi.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Beams Bible Ministry, P.O. Box 10200, Gulfport, MS 39505.
