Charles "Andy" Guinn

Charles “Andy” Guinn, 76 of Perkinston, MS passed away on August 18, 2024 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born March 26, 1948 in Paris, TN to the late Guy & Anna Belle Guinn. Andy is preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Dianne Phillips.

After graduating high school, Andy began working for the US Army Corps of Engineers in the Nashville, TN district. This lead him to working on projects throughout the US. This is how he met his wife Linda, while working in the Gulf South. Andy & Linda were married on October 21, 1989. Then in 1995, Andy retired from the US Army Corps of Engineers.

Andy enjoyed living life, and was the kindest, most gentle, and simple man you will ever meet. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, papa, great grandfather, brother, and friend to so many. Andy always loved the simpler things in life from a beautiful sunrise and sunset, to being in nature. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Andy is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Linda Guinn; daughter, Andrea Suzette (Albert) Wade; papa of; Zachary (Angelica) Ayers, Rachel Ayers, and Alyssa Wade ; great granddaughter, Adaline Mila Ayers; brother, Bill (Susie) Guinn; sister, Betty Guinn; brother in law, Wade Phillips; the Hopkins family which was his bonus family, Matt, Phylicia, Emma, Anna, Isla, and Owen. Andy also leaves behind to cherish his memory a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and extended family.

Andy’s wishes were to have a cremation. So, services will be held privately.  Riemann Family Funeral Home, Pass Christian is assisting the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Andy’s honor to the St. Jude’s Children Hospital.
