Charles L. Faye, Sr., age 83, of Pass Christian, passed away Thursday, January 13, 2011 in Gulfport.
He was a lifelong resident of Hancock County and he retired as a supervisor from GE Plastics. After retirement, he worked for his close friend Dr. Ted Willis. Mr. Faye loved to fish, play the Mandolin, and was a member of DeLisle Baptist Church. He lived life to the fullest and enjoyed helping others.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Violetta Faye, his parents, Ed and Rosie Faye, a daughter Charlotte Faye Graham, a son, Wascom Faye, 3 brothers, Ed Faye, Jr., Newt Faye, and Tom Faye, and a sister, Gladys Faye.
Survivors include his sons, Charles Faye, Jr., Dale Faye, Harvey Faye, Morris Faye, Chester Faye, Kenneth Faye, 1 daughter, Diane Verdin, granddaughter and great-granddaughter that he reared, Celeste Randall and Eden Young, 1 brother, Alton Faye, 1 sister, Gaynell Ladner, 15 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and numerous other relatives and friends.
The funeral service will be at 2 pm Sunday at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 9113 Kiln-DeLisle Road, where friends may visit from 1 - 2 pm. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery at Rotten Bayou.
