Charlie grew up in Farmingdale, NY. His work ethic and love of family was something he learned early in life from his parents. He attended SUNY Maritime and graduated with a marine engineering degree. He met the love of his life, Stacy, in Tampa, Florida before heading out to sea on the Dock Express Texas as third engineer. After 2 years at sea, he took a job in Virginia at John J. McMullen. He and his bride were married and settled in Fairfax, Virginia. They made their way down to the Mississippi Gulf Coast when Charlie took a job at Huntington Ingalls Shipyard. They decided to settle on the coast and raise a family in Ocean Springs, MS.
Charlie loved his family, being a shipbuilder, coaching kids, sports (especially Lacrosse) and, a cold beer with friends and neighbors. His love for lacrosse accompanied by his passion for working with kids drove him to start the first high school lacrosse league in Mississippi. He loved life and valued people that he encountered along the way. Charlie never met a stranger and he gave great hugs to anyone who needed one. He loved the New York J-E-T-S, JETS, JETS, JETS! His personality was huge and his warm heart even bigger. If you knew Charlie, then you know there are no words that encompass what he meant to so many people. He was a blessing on earth and will be greatly missed.
