Mr. Charles E. Anderson, age 79, resident of Gulfport, passed away on Sunday, July 27, 2008, in Gulfport.
Mr. Anderson was a native of Buchanan, VA, and served his country in the United States Air Force for over 20 years. After retiring from the Air Force, he worked for NASA as an electronic technician. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, and hunting. He was affectionately known by his grandchildren as """"RaRa.""""
He was preceded in death by his wife, Carol Grove Anderson; son, Kenneth Charles Anderson; and his parents, Max and Ruth Bowers Anderson.
Mr. Anderson is survived by sons, David W. Anderson of Hancock County, and Gary Anderson of Saucier; daughter-in-law, Brenda Anderson; siblings, Arlene Anderson of Ohio, Boyd Anderson, Lenwood Anderson, Monte Ray Anderson, and Ralph Anderson, all of Covington, VA; grandchildren, Christina Moore, Kevin Anderson, William Anderson, Chris Anderson, and Stephen Anderson; and six great grandchildren, Lexi Anderson, Destiny Anderson, Christopher Anderson, Jr., Kadan Anderson, Savannah Anderson, and Aaron Anderson .
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 30, 2008, at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport, MS, 39503, at 10am. Friends may visit one hour prior to services in the funeral home chapel.
