Charlene Glass Harris, 66, died peacefully at home on November 16, 2010, in Biloxi, MS.
She was born in New Orleans, on April 18, 1944, to Charles Hunter Glass and Katherine ""Kitty"" San Salvador Glass.
Beloved wife, sister, mother, grandmother, godmother, aunt and friend, Charlene grew up in New Orleans and Slidell, LA, but spent a great deal of her life on the Mississippi Gulf Coast and in Fort Walton Beach, FL.
Charlene (""Charly"" to family and friends) was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her husband of 40 years, John; daughters, Kerri Anne (Dana) Thompson of Ocean Springs, and Heather Lynn Layson (Derek) Brown of Winter Park, FL; her grandchildren, Rhyan Elizabeth Thompson and Skylar Elyse Thompson; Zed Clark Layson, V, Caroline Grace Layson, Harris McIntyre Layson, Miles Derek Brown and Kyle Justin Brown; her sister, Kathleen (Bob) Blankenship of Tyler, TX; and her brother, David (Celeste) Glass of Slidell, LA; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Her extended family includes Paul and Mary Schabacker and their three daughters, Mary Beth, Gracie, and Katie of Birmingham, AL; godsons, Todd and Ross Spock and their parents, Ron and Ginnie Spock of Niceville, FL.
Service are private, but remembrances in her name may be made to the American Cancer Society, 417 Security Sq., Gulfport, MS 39507.
